At M.L. Best Consulting, we are proud to recognize and reflect on the 10th anniversary of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science — a milestone that symbolizes global commitment to expanding opportunity, equity, and leadership for women and girls in STEM fields.
Recently, we had the honor of participating in a remarkable event at the United Nations convened by the Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT), championed by Her Royal Highness Princess Dr. Nisreen El-Hashemi. This gathering brought together leaders, policymakers, researchers, and advocates from around the world, all united by a shared vision: to promote inclusion, advance equity, and strengthen participation in science and technology.
A Global Gathering to Honor Excellence
The event highlighted the tremendous progress that has been made in the past decade — from targeted educational initiatives to policies that support women in scientific careers. What was especially inspiring was seeing such diverse representation of changemakers who are leading with purpose and driving systemic change.
At M.L. Best Consulting, we believe that meaningful progress is built through collaboration. The energy of the room, the passion of the speakers, and the shared commitment to fostering inclusive excellence were powerful reminders of what is possible when we work together.
Why This Matters
STEM fields have historically faced challenges in gender representation. While advancements have been made, significant work remains if we are to ensure equitable opportunities for all. Celebrations like this one — grounded in awareness, advocacy, and strategic action — are vital to driving the next phase of progress.
Looking Ahead
Although there is still work to be done, we are encouraged by the momentum and the collective dedication we witnessed at this event. We remain optimistic about the future and energized to continue advancing equity and leadership opportunities for women and girls around the world.
Let’s continue breaking barriers — together.
